Mandarin Oriental Bangkok prepares to welcome the famous chef Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie

The world’s most starred chef, who has redefined the cult of French cuisine, inaugurates a new era in Bangkok’s culinary scene.
Celebrated for her bold vision and innovative approach, Anne-Sophie Pic has redefined French cuisine through her Suffusion philosophy — a method that weaves intricate aromatic layers and deep connections between ingredients. This distinctive ethos has earned her numerous international accolades, including the title of Best Chef in France from The Best Chef Awards. Her restaurant, Maison Pic* in Valence, has held three Michelin stars every year since 2007 and was named the Best Restaurant in the World in Tripadvisor’s Best 2024 ranking.
“Since its opening in 1958, Le Normandie has not only been the first French haute cuisine restaurant in Thailand, but also a benchmark for culinary excellence. The collaboration between Groupe Pic and Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok represents a defining moment for the city’s culinary scene, reflecting a shared vision of refinement, unparalleled hospitality and a legacy of tradition and innovation” said Anthony Tyler, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. “I firmly believe that cuisine is a universal language, a space where cultures meet. Starting a new chapter at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok – an iconic institution that embodies elegance and sophistication – is an adventure that excites me deeply. I look forward to creating an experience where French gastronomy dialogues with the vibrant energy of Thai culture” said Anne-Sophie Pic.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Humbert & Poyet studio, Anne-Sophie Pic will transform Le Normandie into a space with a renewed design, where the heritage of traditional gastronomy merges with modernity. Combining the elegance of the past with a contemporary vision, the restaurant is preparing to inaugurate a new era of French signature cuisine.
