As of April 2025, traveling from Italy to the heart of the Caucasus has never been easier. EasyJet has launched a brand-new direct route between Milan Malpensa and Tbilisi, the vibrant and fast-developing capital of Georgia. This marks the first time the British low-cost carrier connects Italy directly to Tbilisi—an exciting milestone for both travelers and the airline.

“We are very proud of the direct flight between Milan Malpensa and Tbilisi, a first-ever for easyJet from Italy. Thanks to this new route, since last April travelers can comfortably reach a dynamic and fast-growing city, a gateway to a country extraordinarily rich in culture, nature, and history. At the same time, the launch of this route further strengthens our presence at Milan Malpensa, where easyJet is the leading airline by capacity with 22 aircraft based there. We continue to invest in expanding our network: in addition to Tbilisi, for the summer season we’ve also launched new connections to Düsseldorf, Hamburg, the Lofoten Islands, Paris Orly, Biarritz, and Thessaloniki.”

The non-stop flights operate twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday, from Milan’s Malpensa Airport. The journey to Tbilisi takes just over four hours, with an average one-way fare of around €140, making it an attractive option for both leisure and business travelers looking to explore the crossroads of Europe and Asia.

Whether you’re drawn by the cobblestone charm of Tbilisi’s Old Town, the thriving food and wine scene, or the breathtaking mountain landscapes of the Greater Caucasus, this new route opens the door to one of the region’s most culturally rich and scenic destinations.

With this launch, easyJet continues to reinforce its leadership at Milan Malpensa, where it is already the number one carrier by seat capacity. The expansion of its summer network reflects a strategic push to connect Italy with emerging destinations, while maintaining competitive fares and efficient service.

From Milan to the mountains of Georgia, the East is once again just a flight away.
